How do seniors know who to trust to guide them through the choices they must make? Certification as a Retirement Expert assures your potential clients that they can rely on for quality service and a strong ethical commitment. They know that they can rely on your credentials because they are backed by our national organization. NARC Certification not only gives you a leg up on your competitors, but starts your client relationship off on the right foot!

NARC members can achieve designation as "Certified Retirement Expert" which can be displayed in your advertising and included in professional credentials, on business cards and elsewhere, using the designation "C.R.E."

         Designation is to the individual, but any provider company may advertise the designation as long as they have a designated member actively engaged in their admissions/outreach/placement/discharge/ service planning process by displaying this seal:

Requirements for designation:
o       
Active member of NARC
o        Attendance at not less than four NARC recognized Networking Events (such as Senior Network, Arlington Steering Committee, MAPS or GROWS)
o        Completion of at least two NARC Continuing Education programs
o        Satisfactory score achieved on multiple choice exam to attain initial certification
o        Respond to all consumer complaints in a timely manner
o        Designation is for one year and must be renewed annually with all requirements met for renewal

    o       Provides the senior-serving professional with relevant information about a range of interdisciplinary topics relevant to the needs of seniors
    o       Allows both individuals and organizations to indicate their commitment and knowledge base to the public, providing an advantage when marketing to the public as a recognized member of the industry elite
